| Inquiries can be submitted through e-mail at erinindustries@ameritech.net or by fax at (248) 669-5950.
Inquiries should include: 1. A drawing with all dimensions and specifications, including material requirements. Drawings can be faxed, emailed or mailed. If emailed, both our office and the factories have the required programs to open most attached drawings, including (but not limited to) auto-cad .dwg or .dwf, solid works, .pdf , .jpg and as simple a format as .tif. 2. A sample, if a drawing is not available, along with details as normally included in drawings. 3. Purchase order quantities to quote. 4. For blanket purchase orders, quantities of each release and the days between releases (30 - 60 - 90 etc.). 5. Any special packaging requirements. Otherwise, packaging is always done in a way to prevent damage to its contents as well as maximizing space to allow for the lowest possible freight costs. 6. If gage or tooling is to be supplied by the customer or if Erin Industries will be required to make these. 7. End use of the product. This is needed to determine if there are any safety, environmental, or other standards that apply, if any PPAP paperwork or special testing is required, and if the product is sent out of the country, to determine the correct tariff number required for customs clearance. We will quote per your drawing. We will contact you to discuss any relevant issues per the following 2 points prior to quoting: 1. Any requirement on your drawing or RFQ that we cannot duplicate. 2. Any requirement on your drawing or RFQ that with a change offers cost savings do to material substitution, changes in print dimensions and/or tolerances, methods of manufacturing or quote quantities. Depending on the complexity of your inquiry, your normal wait for a quote is between one and five days.
